Lodge Dunedin Star No. 1454 brings brethren together in friendship, mutual respect and charitable purpose. The Lodge works under the Scottish Constitution and forms part of the Masonic family in Namibia.

Our History

Lodge Dunedin Star No. 1454 was founded in September 1950 in Windhoek, Namibia, under the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. Since its consecration, the Lodge has stood as a beacon of Scottish Freemasonry in Namibia, preserving the ancient traditions, principles, and values of the Craft while contributing to the growth of Freemasonry throughout the country. For more than seven decades, generations of Brethren have gathered within the Lodge to pursue moral and spiritual improvement, strengthen the bonds of fraternity, and serve their communities through charity and goodwill. Throughout its history, Lodge Dunedin Star has welcomed men from diverse backgrounds, united by a common commitment to integrity, personal development, and the timeless Masonic ideals of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Today, Lodge Dunedin Star No. 1454 continues to honour its rich heritage while looking confidently toward the future. As one of Namibia's longest-standing Scottish Constitution lodges, it remains dedicated to fostering fellowship, preserving Masonic tradition, and providing a welcoming home for those who seek light in Freemasonry.
